6) Get notified by sell alerts

The step-by-step tutorial to master Crypto Excel.

I) Sell alerts

At this point, you know how to define exit positions for your cryptocurrencies, either manually or automatically.

Whenever the price of a cryptocurrency exceeds one of the price targets TP1 / TP2 / TP3 or falls below the limit threshold SL , Crypto Excel triggers a sell alert.

When this occurs, the row of the corresponding cryptocurrency is highlighted. Each sell alert is associated with a distinct color:

  • Stop-Loss -> Red

  • Take-Profit -> Blue (dull for TP1, medium for TP2 and bright for TP3)

In the video below, we mimic the display of the 4 sell alerts by changing the target price of each threshold set for Solana, so that it matches the current market price.

To display the video below fullscreen, double-click or press the “F” key.

Display of the 4 sales alerts: TP1, TP2, TP3 and SL

For better readability, the alert is highlighted up to the relevant threshold.

Additional data also appear.

These correspond to the exit percentage and the capital to be withdrawn, which you have previously defined in the popup “Strategy” (4) Set up exit positions) or "Sell alerts" (5) Generate automated positions).

Indicators

At any given time, indicators at the top of the “Strategy” panel tell you how many sell alerts are currently displayed in your portfolio.

When you are notified by a sell alert, you're free to decide if you want to close your position or not.

It's up to you, but the original idea was to define your strategy in advance so that you can execute it at the right time 😉

To close your position :

  • Go to your favorite exchange or wallet.

  • Finalize the corresponding transaction.

  • Then add the "Sell" transaction in your dashboard (cf 3) Add and edit transactions).

II) Conclusion

And that's it! We've covered all the features of Crypto Excel.

We hope this step-by-step tutorial has shown you just how useful a cryptocurrency portfolio manager can be.
